Game Häus Cafe. Coming soon!

Many tabletop enthusiasts are familiar with various tabletop game cafes around the world, but they are scarce and for the general population, out of reach. However, luckily for the fine folks Southern California, we are being gifted with the upcoming Game Häus Cafe coming to Los Angeles, CA.

Now I'm sure you have a few questions on your mind, such as, what is a tabletop games cafe you ask (or more popularly known as a board game cafe, sit tight tabletop will catch on soon enough)? It is precisely as simple as it sounds, it is a cafe with the usual coffee, espresso, pastries, and sandwiches, with tables, couches, and a warm welcoming atmosphere. But here's the catch, its designed for tabletop gaming. A place for you and your friends to come grab some coffee, a bite to eat, and determine who is the best at any given board game!

The next question! What makes Game Häus Cafe different from any other cafe that you could just bring your own board game to and play on your own with your friends? They carry a boasting SIX-HUNDRED-TITLE library of board games and card games. Anything from the classic Monopoly, Stratego, Scrabble, and Risk, to the less popularly known Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan, The Resistance, Talisman, Arkham Horror, and Elder Sign.

So what do you need to know before arriving? Well first of all, its not open yet, but it will be soon! I know that I cannot wait, you'll see me at the grand opening. Secondly, upon arriving there is a $5.00 cover fee, it so cheap you might just find it hiding in your couch. Now what does $5.00 get you? It gets you access to the library of games and unlimited play time as well as any events that may be going on at any given night. Lastly, bring your dice if you want to show you know your way around a board game, bring your game face, and be ready to play some games.

Still need to know more? Head on over to their facebook and like them to stay in the loop about when their grand opening will be. Also they just got their site up and running recently, so go and check that out too for specifics about pricing, menus, and events. One more thing, tell your friends, spread the news, the tabletop and board game industry is just barely budding and we want to keep this flower growing, so if we can keep the interest going, we can keep enjoying more board game cafes like this in areas much closer to you.
